The traditional ceremony lasts 15 minutes, after which the priest presents a special certificate inscribed on tapa. All together, musicians and dancers will then celebrate the couple’s union.

Herehia “Beloved” Ceremony. The ceremony takes place on the resort beach where the Polynesian Priest unites the couple. He provides Flowers Leis and Flower Crowns and the couple exchange these flowers as a sign of exchanging their vows. They are then baptized with their Tahitian names and given a marriage certificate. The dancers cover the couple with the traditional "Tifaifai" (Tahitian wedding quilt). The ceremony ends with dances and songs celebrating the couple's joy while they enjoy an exotic cocktail.
